The term “Purchase” is a status type for products that are listed in the Item Master but are purchased directly from the vendor. The product may exist in inventory but for requisitioning purposes, the product gets ordered directly with the vendor versus being pulled from an inventory location. This product type gets automatically converted to a purchase order.
